Hi again! Been a great year for Mockingbird so far, and the band has gone from strength to strength as a working unit, delivering some killer shows. People have warmed to the seven-piece line-up and the new songs, and the band's reputation has grown. Plenty of festivals this year, beginning with the Orkney Blues Festival in April, making a splash further down the line at Rising North in Shetland, headlining the final night of the newly inaugurated Watersound Festival back in Orkney, and rounding off the summer at the 10th Orkney Rock Festival in September.

Changes are afoot though, as Andy and Douglas will both be leaving the band. Douglas will be spending more time with his amazing family; Pandy joins Gerry McAvoy's Band of Friends, and is preparing for a tour as we speak (or as I write, and you read.) These two exeptional musicians will be sorely missed, having both contributed massively to Mockingbird's success thus far. 

Be assured, though - Mockingbird will carry on. Stay tuned.
